LAUNCHED:  |  CLOSING:

In the last few years the number of “Green” energy projects has grown rapidly. With its abundant natural resources, excellent supply chains and supportive business networks, the Tay Eco Valley region of Angus, Dundee, North Fife and Perthshire & Kinross is the perfect place for developing “green” energy solutions.

The Tay Eco Valley region of Tayside includes the largest Solar farm development in Scotland at the Errol Estate in Perthshire, a 13MW scheme with 55,000 solar panels; and is also developing sustainable support for electric Vehicle charging in Dundee and Perth cities by utilising renewable energy from solar and wind.

District heating networks are being developed across the region, with Eden Campus(St Andrews University) deploying a 6.5MW district heating scheme as part of an ambitious project; the Guardbridge Biomass Energy Centre & District Heating Network, including developing Zero carbon energy communities.

Perth and Kinross Council are working on a district heat network project in the north of the city of Perth, with the aim of utilising the river Tay to support the development of a heating/power network across the city.

Whatever type of green energy you wish to use or you wish to develop – the Tay Eco Valley region is a great place to locate your business and start your Green energy journey.
